Hi! My name is Clifford (the Big Red Dog). I am approximately two years old and I weigh 85 lbs as of late January xxxx.
For the first two years of my life, I lived in a field scrounging for food and running from humans. During that time, I became the patriarch of a family of several homeless dogs. One day, a lady got out of her car, shooed me out of a busy street and followed me to the field. She found our family of homeless dogs and began feeding us daily. This went on for about a month... I was the first one willing to trust her and let her catch me.
Since then, things have been amazing - I have discovered what it's like to be loved and I am hooked! My foster mom says I'm a "couch potato" because I love naps and cuddle time. I love being around people - in fact, one of my favorite humans is a toddler!
Clifford enjoys taking walks, car rides, and playing in the yard. He is learning house training, crate training, and basic obedience. He has been neutered, is up-to-date on his shots, and ready for his very own home today.
Will you please consider opening your heart & home to Clifford the big red lover boy? He promises to be the most loyal buddy you could ever wish for! Adoption fee for dogs: $465 (this includes $140 non-refundable transport fee from the south to New England)
The fee covers:
**Age-appropriate DA2PP, or similar distemper/parvo vaccinations
**rabies vaccine, if veterinarian issuing the health certificate deems the dog old enough
**bordatella vaccine (kennel cough)
**interstate health certificate/pre-transport vet visit
**transportation
**spay/neuter (or voucher for pups who are too young)
**5 consecutive days of Panacur OR equivalent (indicated on vet sheet)
**flea/tick preventative AND/OR flea/tick bath
**temperament test
All our puppies and dogs have been well-socialized and handled a lot by their loving foster home caregivers. We cannot guarantee a fully housetrained puppy, however, our dogs are kept in foster homes and the foster families work to teach them basic potty etiquette.
